Photos: Bermuda Footballers Defeat Grenada
[Updated with photos] Bermuda rallied from a three-goal deficit to defeat Grenada 5-3 in a dramatic comeback victory this evening [April 18] with Keunna Dill scoring four goals and Kenni Thompson scoring once.
Grenada took control early, with Melania Fullerton opening the scoring in the fourth minute, followed by Sheranda Charles in the 17th and Nia Fleming-Thompson in the 25th to give the visitors a 3-0 lead.
Bermuda began their response before the break, as Keunna Dill scored in the 38th minute and added another in first-half stoppage time [45’+4[ to cut the deficit to 3-2 at halftime. Dill completed her hat trick in the 57th minute to level the match, shifting momentum in Bermuda’s favor. Kenni Thompson then put Bermuda ahead for the first time with a goal in the 82nd minute.
Dill capped her standout performance with her fourth goal in the 90th minute, sealing the win and completing the comeback.
The victory saw Bermuda overturn an early three-goal deficit in an eight-goal contest, with Dill’s four-goal performance leading the turnaround.
