Summerhaven Hosts Charity Golf Tournament
The Summerhaven Trust’s sixth annual Charity Golf Tournament on April 11 saw 52 players compete, with Duane Lowe’s team taking first place.
A spokesperson said, “The Summerhaven Trust held their sixth annual Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 11th at the Ocean View Golf Course.
“Amidst blustery unpredictable weather conditions, the event was deemed a great success.
“The format of the tournament was Captain’s Choice followed by a lunch and prize presentation.
“The event had a field of 52 players, with first place honours going to the team of Duane Lowe, Garret Lowe, Jordan Swan, and Tyler Amory who shot a gross score of 55.
“Second place went to Aaron Adams, Sinclair Trott, Harry Smith and Byon Robinson.
“Third place went to David Patterson, Aaron James, Marcelos Thomas, and Isiah O’Brien.
“Fourth place went to Steven Almeida, Eugene Smith, Donovan Livingston and Kavon Trott.
“Executive Director Ms. Colette Simmons expressed her heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the participants, many sponsors, donors and to the community.
“Special mention to Sea Venture Shipping and DE Mortimer [Birdie Sponsors] who has been continued supporters of the event from the inception. Par sponsors included Abacus and MS Reinsurance. Other sponsors ESC, Europa Imports, Friends 4 Ever, Stirling Paint, and Wesley Wellness. Supporters include Barritt’s, BGA, Dunkley’s, The Sweet Spot and J Harvey Ltd.
