Nahki Wells & Luton Defeat Northampton Town
Bermudian forward Nahki Wells and Luton Town secured a 2-1 victory over Northampton Town in English League One action.
Sam Hoskins gave Northampton the lead in the 31st minute, but Luton responded before halftime through Liam Walsh, who levelled the match in the 43rd minute. Kal Naismith then scored the decisive goal in the 85th minute to seal the win for the home side.
Wells started the match and was involved in the attack, including an early effort that was blocked, before being substituted in the second half.
The result came just days after Luton’s recent cup success, with the team continuing their strong run of form. The defeat confirmed Northampton Town’s relegation from League One.
