$160,000 Raised For Habitat For Humanity
People gathered at The Loren at Pink Beach earlier this month for a fundraising event in support of Habitat for Humanity Bermuda, raising $160,000.
A spokesperson said, “Nearly 200 guests gathered at The Loren at Pink Beach on 11th April to celebrate and raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Bermuda. The event successfully raised an impressive $160,000 to support the charity’s work across the island and will support upcoming projects focused on improving housing conditions for vulnerable members of the community, helping to ensure access to safe homes.
“The evening began with a cocktail reception, followed by a Spanish-inspired dinner and live entertainment. The event continued with music and a range of fundraising activities, including live and silent auctions, supported by prizes donated by corporate and individual contributors.
“The event was supported by a number of corporate sponsors. Talcott Financial Group returned as Gold Sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, while CMC Markets, a FTSE 250 company and global leader in multi-asset trading and investing for retail, professional and institutional clients, joined as Platinum Sponsor. Silver sponsors included Price Forbes, Fidelis and Sompo.
“Habitat for Humanity Bermuda, Executive Director, Sandra Christensen expressed heartfelt gratitude to the corporate sponsors who contributed to the success of the event. She emphasized the importance of events like this in supporting Habitat for Humanity Bermuda’s fundraising efforts throughout the year.
