Kayla Bardgett & SCAD Claim Series Title
Kayla Bardgett and her Savannah College of Art and Design [SCAD] teammates have been named the 2025–26 Tournament of Champions Series winners, marking the program’s first national title of the season in collegiate equestrian competition.
The SCAD Bees produced a dominant campaign during the series’ 35th anniversary season, winning three of the four major shows to establish themselves as the leading team in the discipline.
SCAD entered the final event of the series, the Spring Classic in Findlay, already having secured the overall championship mathematically. The team nonetheless went on to complete the event with a strong showing.
The program is led by Director of Equestrian Ashley Henry and Assistant Coach Sammy Perlman. SCAD concluded the series with a record 98 points, based on its two highest show scores.
The Bees also recorded a historic milestone in January 2026 at the Winter Classic, where they achieved the first-ever perfect score in Tournament of Champions Series history.
The series title adds to SCAD’s national success this season, with further postseason championships still ahead in the 2025–26 campaign.
