Municipal Elections Nomination Day/Candidates

The Parliamentary Registry has announced the Nomination Day results for the Ordinary Municipal Elections and also confirmed that the position of Hamilton Mayor will be contested between Michael William Branco and Elmore Warren.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Parliamentary Registry advises that, at the close of Nomination Day for the Ordinary Municipal Elections for the Corporation of Hamilton and the Corporation of St. George, the following results have been determined.

Corporation of Hamilton

“All seats for Councillors have been returned uncontested.

“The following candidates are therefore duly elected:

Business Ratepayers’ Councillors

  • Philip Barnett
  • L. Lloyd Holder
  • Mark Pacheco
  • Tony Thompson

Municipal Residents’ Councillors:

  • Jenefer Brimmer
  • Shawn Brown
  • Maxanne Caines
  • Mia Chambray

“The position of Mayor is contested. The nominated candidates are:

  • Michael William Branco
  • Elmore Warren

“As a result, a poll will be held to determine the Mayoral position.

“Advanced Polling will take place on Thursday, 30 April 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at St. Paul Centennial Church Hall for travellers and incapacitated voters.

“All voters within the municipal area, whether business ratepayers or residents, are eligible to vote for the Mayor.

Corporation of St. George

“All seats have been filled, and no poll will be required. The following candidates are therefore duly elected:

Mayor:

  • Quinell Francis

Business Ratepayers’ Councillors:

  • Amne Osseyran
  • Alfonso Harris

Municipal Residents’ Councillors:

  • Tianny Butterfield
  • Elizabeth Christopher
  • Nyon Dowling
  • Jari Ming
  • Lynwood Trott
  • Allan Van Putten
