Saltus Wins Primary School Track Title
The Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Centre hosted the Bermuda School Sports Federation Primary School Track and Field Championships, where Saltus Grammar School won the overall title.
Saltus Grammar School recorded 275 points to finish first, ahead of Warwick Academy with 245 points, while West Pembroke Primary placed third with 172 points.
Skye Furbert of West Pembroke Primary set a new record in the Under 9 Girls 100 metres with a time of 13.93 seconds, surpassing the previous mark of 14.35 seconds set by Kiara Baxter in 2000.
Furbert also won the Under 9 Girls 200 metres and 400 metres and was part of a record-setting relay team. She was named the 2026 Toby Colombe Award winner for Best Performer after achieving the maximum individual points total.
In the Male Under 10 division, Nico Simmons of Warwick Academy earned 30 points. Theodore Smith of Harrington Sound Primary and Nolan Horrobin of Saltus Grammar School placed behind him.
In the Over 10 divisions, Gabrielle Saunders of Somersfield Academy and Shammaah Darko of Warwick Academy each recorded maximum points in their events.
Additional winners included Diamond Morris of Saltus Grammar School in the Female Under 10 division and Elliott Davidge of Saltus Grammar School in the Male Under 9 division.
