Temple Of Tennis Doubles Competition Underway
The Temple of Tennis Open Tournament continued at the Port Royal Golf Course Tennis Courts, where a series of closely contested matches required deciding third-set tie-breakers in three doubles encounters.
In the Men’s Doubles draw, Tobiah Goodchild and Zach McGuire defeated Chris Weeks and David Thomas. Weeks and Thomas won the first set 7-5, before Goodchild and McGuire took the second 6-3. Goodchild and McGuire then won the match tie-break 10-8.
On another court, Scott Redmond and Tariq Simons advanced past Jack Keyes and Alex Cooper. After splitting the first two sets 6-4, Redmond and Simons won the deciding tie-break 11-9.
In the Women’s Doubles, Cayla Cross and Zaire Simmons defeated Victoria Stephens and Lucy Yasumi. Cross and Simmons took the first set 6-4, Stephens and Yasumi won the second set, and Cross and Simmons secured the match by winning the tie-break 10-7.
