Team East Wins Youth Basketball All-Star Game
The Bermuda Youth Basketball [BYB] All-Star Saturday took place this past weekend, featuring high-level competition and standout performances across multiple events.
A spokesperson said, “BYB All-Star Saturday tipped off this past weekend at MSA Gymnasium with a showcase of skill, competition, and clutch performances.
“The event featured a full slate of contests — Skills Challenge, King of the Court, Free Throw Challenge and the 3-Point Shootout — each bringing its own level of intensity. The Skills and Free Throw Challenge went down to the wire, with winners decided on the final attempts of allocated time.

“The main event of the afternoon was the 3rd Annual BYB All-Star Game, closing out the evening with a showcase of talent.
“Like most exhibitions, the game started slow, limited chemistry and light defense gave it more of a pick-up feel early on. However, after halftime, with the MVP trophy on the line, the intensity surged on both sides of the ball, turning it into a true battle.
“Team East took control behind explosive guards Ajani Carey and Jordon Marsh, who lit up from deep and attacked the rim relentlessly. Team West answered with some explosion of their own behind guard Jamie Ashton [17pts] and forward Matty Copeland [13 pts, 8 rebs, 3 blocks] to keep the game within reach.
“In the end, the difference came from beyond the arc, as 3-point shootout champion Anson Robinson delivered the dagger to seal the victory for Team East.
