Video: Nicholas Christopher On Late Night Show
Bermudian actor Nicholas Christopher – who is currently starring in the Broadway play ‘Chess’ — appeared as a guest on the ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ show, where he discussed his father, Ed Christopher, who serves as the Town Crier of the City of Hamilton.
During the television segment, the host displayed a childhood photo of a young Nicholas dressed in a miniature Town Crier outfit. The actor explained that his mother crafted the clothing from scraps of his father’s official uniform because he wanted to emulate his dad when he was little.
“I wanted to be just like my dad when I was little,” the actor said.
When asked about the profession, Mr. Christopher noted that the Town Crier remains an official position today and joked that his father performs in Hamilton the city, rather than Hamilton the musical.
