Tyler Smith & Maddie Durkin Win Half Marathon
Tyler Smith and Maddie Durkin raced to victory in the 2026 Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby today [May 22] etching their names in the history book as winners of the island’s most iconic running race.
Smith — who has represented Bermuda in the Olympics in the triathlon — claimed the overall title in a time of 1hr 10min 49sec, recording a dominant victory, finishing minutes ahead of Ryan Outerbridge, who placed second in 1:15:06. Lamont Marshall rounded out the top three in 1:15:42.
Durkin won the women’s division in 1:27:56, placing 15th overall. Christine Dailey was the second female finisher, placing 19th overall in 1:28:49, while Teresa Ruiz finished third among the women and 25th overall in 1:31:25.
