Bladed Articles A “Serious & Growing Concern”
Six people were arrested for knife possession over the Bermuda Day holiday weekend, and the police warned that the number of people carrying bladed articles in public remains a “serious and growing concern.”
Speaking at a press conference on policing over the holiday weekend, Acting Deputy Commissioner, Antoine Daniels said: “I want to address what remains a serious and growing concern: the number of people carrying bladed articles in public. Over the weekend, six individuals were arrested for knife possession.”
The police also provided this chart below, which shows that so far in 2026, there were 35 arrests due to ‘bladed weapons’ and eight injuries.
