Kim Burns Pickleball Tournament Concludes

The third annual Kim Burns Memorial Pickleball Tournament concluded its third day of competition at the W.E.R. Joell Tennis Stadium with the final knockout rounds and medal presentations across multiple singles divisions.

In the Men’s 3.5 Singles Open division, Donin Trott won the gold medal. Trott advanced from Pool A after defeating Micah Dottin 15-2 and winning a preliminary match against Jack Walsh. Nicholas Butterfield won the silver medal, and Owen Stewart secured the bronze medal. Stewart had advanced from Pool B following consecutive victories over Julian Borchardt and Eldon Trimingham.

The Men’s 4.5 Singles division concluded with Ben Jones winning the gold medal, while Jasper Thomas earned the silver medal.

In the Men’s 4.0 Singles division, Rian Michelsen won the gold medal. Nicolaas Van Der Westhuizen took the silver medal, and Aman Sangareria won the third-place playoff to secure the bronze medal.

The final day of competition followed a preliminary group stage that included matches in the Over 50 Division, where Xavier James, Duane Simons, and Edgar Griffith competed in three-set matches.
