Ministry Issues Two Road Traffic Notices
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has issued two road traffic notices for Burnt House Hill in Warwick, from May 18 to July 13, and for Pender Road in Sandys, from May 13 to 14.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public of two upcoming lane closures for road-related works in Warwick and Sandys.
“A single-lane closure will take place on Burnt House Hill in Warwick, near #35 Burnt House Hill, to allow for wall construction works. The lane closure will be in effect from Monday, 18 May 2026, through Monday, 13 July 2026, with working hours from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Traffic controls will be under the direction of representatives from Limestone Holdings Ltd., using temporary traffic lights. Motorists are encouraged to proceed with caution when travelling through the area.
“An emergency lane closure will also take place on Pender Road in Sandys, in front of the Dockyard Bus Depot, to accommodate water leak repairs.
“The lane closure will be in effect from Wednesday, 13 May 2026, through Thursday, 14 May 2026, with working hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“Traffic controls will be under the direction of Island Construction representatives, using stop-and-go signs and possibly traffic lights.
“The Ministry encourages the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience caused. Please refer to the attached Road Traffic Notices for more information.”
