MSA Starts Auditorium Transformation Project

Mount Saint Agnes Academy [MSA] is beginning a transformative renovation project with the upgraded facility to “support performing arts, assemblies, and community events in a refreshed, state-of-the-art environment.”

A spokesperson said, “Mount Saint Agnes Academy [MSA] marked a significant milestone on May 19 with the final day in its longstanding auditorium, signaling the beginning of a transformative renovation project that will benefit students and the wider community for generations to come.

“To commemorate the occasion, Sean Kelly ’02, P’36, ‘39 Chair of the Board, Anna Faria- Machado P’23, Principal, and Christopher Tannock ’99, P’26, ’30, Assistant Principal for Facilities, officially launched the project with symbolic first steps—removing vents to make way for a modern air conditioning system and breaking into the parquet flooring. They were joined by members of the MSA community, including past Board Chair Garry Madeiros ’67, P’93, ’96, GP ’21,’30, ’32, members of the board, Home and School, students, faculty and staff, in recognizing this important moment in the school’s history.”

“This project represents a meaningful investment in the future of Mount Saint Agnes,” said Sean Kelly. “The new auditorium will serve as a dynamic space where students can learn, perform, and grow, while continuing to bring our community together.”

The spokesperson said, “The auditorium renovation is a $1.5 million transformational project that will modernize and enhance one of the school’s most important shared spaces. The upgraded facility will support performing arts, assemblies, and community events in a refreshed, state-of-the-art environment.
