MSA Announces Three New Staff Appointments

Mount Saint Agnes Academy [MSA] announced three new staff appointments, effective September 1st, 2020.

A spokesperson said, “The MSA Board of Governors are pleased to announce three new staff appointments, effective September 1st, 2020. Mrs. Anna Faria-Machado has been appointed as Principal Designate to replace Mrs. Sue Moench in July 2021. Kim Raymond has been appointed as Deputy Principal and Christopher Tannock has been appointed as Assistant Principal.

“Mrs. Anna Faria-Machado joined MSA in September 1999 as a grade 6 teacher and taught different grades and areas throughout the years. In 2018 she was promoted to Assistant Principal Designate. She previously taught at Elliott Primary and Gilbert Institute.What are you looking forward to, in your new position? “We have a very exciting journey ahead of us as we build on the traditions of the past, and lead the school into the future in innovative new ways. It is an honor to continue to work with the MSA family to help our students thrive and achieve their very best.”

“Mrs. Kim Raymond joined MSA as a PE & Health Teacher in 2011 . She was promoted to Assistant Principal Designate in 2018. She started her teaching career at East End Primary also as a Health & Physical Education Teacher from 2003-2011. Some of her work experience was in law enforcement, though brief, did instill discipline and resilience in her which was needed to be successful in the educational arena. How does she feel about her new position? “I am honored to be part of the new administration team. I look forward to continuing the customs that make the MSA family unique, upholding the principals of Christian education and maintaining a safe nurturing environment for our students.”

“Mr. Christopher Tannock joined MSA in 2013 as a Social Studies Teacher for High School. He was promoted to Assistant Principal Designate in 2019. His teaching career started at Berkeley also in Social Studies and as a Year Head. What is he looking forward to this school year? “I am looking forward to growth. Growth is important to grow personally, professionally, and spiritual. An ongoing project for this school year, will be to produce tremendous opportunity to learn and grow.”

“Mrs. Moench has agreed to remain as Principal for an additional year to ensure a seamless transition for the leadership team.”
