Basketballers Play Two Warm Matches In Portugal
The Bermuda Under-19 men’s basketball team split two warm-up games in Lisbon, Portugal, finishing with a 1-1 record as part of their preparations for the Portugal Basketball Festival.
Bermuda opened with a 101-59 victory over CP Atletico Under-19s, using defensive pressure and transition play to secure a 42-point win.
The team then fell 62-50 to Odivelas BC, with the Portuguese side restricting Bermuda’s inside scoring opportunities while the Bermudians struggled to find consistency from the perimeter.
Chris “CJ” Crumpler Jr., a 16-year-old 6-foot-4 point guard, led Bermuda statistically across the two games, averaging 19 points, five assists and four steals per game.
