Daniel Phillips Claims Victory In Kayseri
Bermuda’s Daniel Phillips earned his first ATP singles ranking points of the season after defeating Timofei Derepasko in the opening round of the M15 Kayseri tennis tournament in Turkey.
Phillips beat the Russian world No 648 in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, to advance to the second round of the clay-court event.
The victory marks a strong return to professional competition for Phillips as he looks to climb the ATP rankings this season.
