FrayStar Youth Cricket Festival To Be Held
The FrayStar Cricket Institute will be hosting their Inaugural FrayStar Youth Cricket Festival for Under-15 teams later this month.
A spokesperson said, “FrayStar Cricket Institute is proud to host its inaugural Youth Cricket Festival on Saturday, June 27th and Sunday, June 28th, 2026, at the Saltus Grammar School Field.
“This festival is much more than a cricket tournament. It is a celebration of youth development, an opportunity to showcase Bermuda’s talented young cricketers, and a commitment to keeping our young people engaged in the game during one of the most critical stages of their development.
“Historically, the Under-15 age group is where many young players begin to drift away from cricket. Whether due to competing interests, changing priorities, or a lack of meaningful opportunities, this age group often experiences the highest dropout rates. At FrayStar Cricket Institute, we believe that if Bermuda cricket is to have a strong future, we must invest in these players today.
“The FrayStar Youth Cricket Festival has been built around the very principles that define our institute: structure, organization, discipline, development, sportsmanship, and fun. Our goal is for every participant to enjoy a positive cricketing experience while continuing to develop their skills, confidence, character, and love for the game.
“The festival will bring together talented young cricketers from across the island, providing them with a platform to compete, learn, and create lasting memories. It will also give families, supporters, and the wider cricket community an opportunity to witness the exciting future of Bermuda cricket firsthand.
“While there will be international cricket taking place during the week leading up to the festival, we encourage the cricketing community to come out and support our young players, particularly on Finals Day, Sunday, June 28th. These young athletes are the future representatives of our clubs, our national teams, and our island.
“The future of Bermuda cricket is standing in front of us today. They deserve our support, our encouragement, and our presence.

“As part of our ongoing fundraising efforts, FrayStar Cricket Institute is also proud to host ”Beyond the Boundary: An Evening of Art, Inspiration & Youth Development” on Sunday, July 5th, 2026, at Treehouse Bermuda, 12 Trott Road, Hamilton.
“This special event will showcase artwork from both local artists and FrayStar players, highlighting the creativity, talent, and potential that exists within our community. More than an art exhibition, the evening is a celebration of youth development and the positive impact that structured programs can have on young lives.
“Doors open at 4:00 p.m., and we invite the public to join us for an inspiring evening while supporting a meaningful cause.
“Funds raised will help offset the costs associated with our year-round cricket programs, the Youth Cricket Festival, and our UK Development Tour, which provides young players with invaluable educational and cricketing experiences abroad.
