‘Intermittent Slowdowns As Cyclists On Route’
The Ministry of Public Works is advising motorists to expect “intermittent traffic slowdowns” on Sunday morning [June 14] during the Bermuda Junior Cycling Individual Time Trial.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to advise the public of traffic activity along Harrington Sound Road, Wilkinson Avenue, North Shore Road, Middle Road and surrounding areas on Sunday, 14 June 2026 between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Motorists may experience intermittent slowdowns as cyclists travel along the race route.
“This traffic disruption is to facilitate the Bermuda Bicycle Association Bermuda Junior Cycling Individual Time Trial Bicycle Road Race.
“Motorists are advised to use caution when travelling through the area, avoid the race route where possible, and follow directions given by police officers and race officials to ensure the safety of all road users and participants. No road closures or parking restrictions will be in place; however, motorists are reminded not to block the route or impede participants.”
