Camerin Pickering Sets National Record
Camerin Pickering set a new Bermuda national record at the Pan American Archery Championships in Tlaxcala, Mexico, yesterday [June 24].
Competing in the men’s recurve event, Pickering scored 653 out of a possible 720, surpassing the Olympic Minimum Qualification Score of 650.
Bermuda’s four-man squad comprises Pickering, Jaydon Roberts, Bernard Wade and Robert O’Connor, with Ross Roberts and Trina Roberts serving as coaches.
The championships, which run until Sunday, are the region’s main qualifying event for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games, with places available in both the recurve and compound disciplines.
