Menuhin Winners To Perform At Concert
The Menuhin Foundation’s 2026 Scholarship Competition showcased Bermuda’s young string musicians, with Bella Correia earning first place, Julianna Tothong and Dylan Jeffrey tying for second, and Euan Forster, Oscar Regan and Oliver Leverock receiving Honourable Mentions, with the talented award recipients set to be featured at the Menuhin Foundation’s Annual Concert this Sunday [June 14].
A spokesperson said, “The Menuhin Foundation [Charity #118] hosted their 2026 Scholarship Competition, bringing together some of Bermuda’s most dedicated young string students. Each performer arrived well prepared and delivered thoughtful, confident performances expressing their musical strengths.
“The Menuhin Foundation is pleased to announce violinist Bella Correia as the 1st place winner of this year’s competition. As part of her award, Bella will take the spotlight as the featured soloist in the Menuhin Foundation’s Annual Concert on Sunday, June 14th to be held at the Ruth Seaton James.
“This year’s concert carries special meaning as the Menuhin Foundation celebrates its 50th Anniversary. The event will bring together over 120 students from across the island, representing every level of Menuhin’s programmes, from Primary students who have taken the free weekly group lessons to those that have advanced through the program into individual lessons such as Bella Correia, and those in the Menuhin orchestras. The Annual Concert offers a rare chance to see the full scope of the Foundation’s work in one setting. The concert promises to be an engaging and memorable celebration for the community.
“In addition to the Annual Concert, the Foundation is excited to share that other Scholarship Competition participants such as 2nd Place winner, Julianna Tothong [tied with Dylan Jeffrey, who is unable to perform], and Honourable Mention recipients [Euan Forster, Oscar Regan, and Oliver Leverock ] will be featured in the Summer Student Showcase on June 27th.
“The Showcase highlights the remarkable achievements of Menuhin’s advanced violin, viola, and cello students. Whether in intimate solo moments or the rich interplay of chamber ensembles, their performances will capture both their commitment and their artistic growth. Each performance represents countless hours of practice, encouragement from teachers and families, and the shared belief that young people flourish when given the chance to express themselves.
“Tickets for both the Annual Concert and the Summer Student Showcase are only available through Ptix.bm. For more information about the Menuhin Foundation and upcoming events, please visit www.menuhin.bm.”
