One Communications On Service Interruption

June 1, 2026 | 6 Comments

One Communications advised that a “service issue currently affecting approximately 15% of its broadband customer base has been identified, and restoration efforts are actively underway.”

A spokesperson said, “Technical teams have been working around the clock to isolate and resolve the matter as quickly and safely as possible. While service has already been restored to some impacted customers, work continues to return all affected customers to normal service.”

“We understand how important reliable connectivity is to our customers, whether for work, education, communication or entertainment,” said Niall Sheehy, CEO at One Communications. “Our teams are fully mobilized and focused on restoring service as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience while this work continues.”

The spokesperson said, “Customers are advised that there is no action required on their part at this time. To ensure the smoothest possible restoration experience, customers should leave their modems and networking equipment plugged in and powered on.

“While the issue remains under active remediation, One Communications continues to closely monitor network performance and provide regular updates through its social media and customer communication channels.”

Do we get credited for this, would be great…

  2. Only One Communication says:

I know the company is called One Communications but I didn’t expect that to be literal.
Give us another update! It’s been almost 48 hours now.

That’s the problem…updates and timelines are NOT being given. It’s the same statement over and over. A timeline to getting full service restored would be most helpful. Im going into day two.

Going into 8 days without internet and they have only said that they’re “working on it”. We need specifics. How long. I don’t want to waste my time waiting for the internet to come on when, at this point, I could just Drop One Communications entirely and take my business elsewhere.
