Parliament: Order Of Business For June 12th
The House of Assembly will be in session on Friday [June 12] and the statements listed on the Order Paper include Hurricane Preparedness for the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season, Online Rental Scams and the Protection of Consumers, Fuel Security and National Energy Risk, Update on Google Subsea Cable Landings: Nuvem and Sol, Update on the Implementation of Ridesharing in Bermuda, the Department of Child and Family Services Building Capacity for Parenting, the Establishment of the Electoral Reform Working Group, the Proposed Introduction of Cooperative Legislation in Bermuda, Precautionary Guidance for the Ebola Virus, and Observing HIV Awareness Month.
In addition there are a number of Parliamentary Questions scheduled, with the Opposition set to ask the Government multiple questions with most related to various aspects of the proposal to become a full member of CARICOM.
