Phillips Advances In Kayseri After Victory
Bermudian tennis player Daniel Phillips advanced at the M15 Kayseri tournament after a three-set victory over Vladimir Osminkin in Turkey.
The 21-year-old won the match 6-3, 3-6, 10-5, securing the victory in a deciding 10-point match tie-break.
Phillips opened the match by winning the first set 6-3 before Osminkin levelled the contest with a 6-3 victory in the second set. Phillips then won the match tie-break 10-5.
The result followed a straight-sets victory in his opening qualifying match, with Phillips defeating Aleksandrs Sotikovs 6-1, 6-2. He later advanced from qualifying after Tugra Duran retired from their match with Phillips leading 5-2.
