Photos & Video: ‘Team Hayward’ Holds Event
Jason Hayward held a public event at the Ocean View Golf Club on Sunday, with a number of speakers explaining why they support him in the upcoming leadership election.
A spokesperson previously said, “Economy and Labour Minister The Hon. Jason Hayward will present highlights of his 22 years of public service, reflecting on key achievements, leadership milestones, and the work undertaken to advance opportunities for the people of Bermuda. This will be an opportunity to hear firsthand about the progress made, the challenges overcome, and the vision for continuing to build a stronger Bermuda together. Dinner and refreshments will be served.”
The event, which was open to photo and live video coverage, included live entertainment and speeches from people including Minister Jason Hayward, Minister Diallo Rabain, Minister Kim Wilson, Minister Zane DeSilva, MP Neville Tyrrell, with Minister Jache Adams acting as MC for the event.

Minister Hayward is running for the PLP party’s leadership position, which will become available as David Burt will not be standing for re-election as Party Leader later this year, with MP Curtis Dickinson also running for the position. As the PLP currently forms the Government of Bermuda, the PLP Leader becomes the Premier, and the PLP Leadership election takes place every four years and the next one is scheduled to be held in October of this year.
