15-Year-Old & 16-Year-Old In Injured In Shooting
[Updated] Two males, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old, attended the hospital “seeking treatment for gunshot wounds,” the police have confirmed.
A police spokesperson said, “Shortly before 10:25 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Police received a report from staff at the Emergency Department of the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, that two juvenile males, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old, had attended the facility seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.
“Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
“A confirmed scene has not been identified. However, it is believed the reported shooting may have taken place somewhere in the areas of St. John’s Road, Langton Hill and Field View Lane, Pembroke.
“The suspects are believed to be two males dressed in dark clothing and wearing dark coloured helmets, who fled the area on a black motorcycle, traveling in an unknown direction.
“An investigation into this incident has now begun. Police are urging residents of St. John’s Road, Langton Hill, Field View Lane and environs, who may have heard or seen any suspicious activity shortly before or after the time of the reported shooting, to please contact Detective Sergeant, Shannon Trott on, 717-2152, or via email, strott@bps.bm.

Update 4.40pm: A police spokesperson said, “As the investigation into the confirmed firearms incident which left two teenaged males with gunshot wounds continues, the Bermuda Police Service [BPS], is renewing its call for anyone with information to please reach out to us.
“The victims, aged fifteen and sixteen sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.
“Whilst the exact location and time of this shooting remain unclear, information suggests that a firearm may have been discharged in the area of Langton Hill and St Johns Road sometime between 9:00 and 10:00pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
“The suspects are described as two males wearing dark coloured helmets and clothing, traveling on a motorcycle.
“Officers today conducted checks in the areas of St. John’s Road, Langton Hill, Mount Hill as well as St. Monica’s Road/ The Glebe Road and other nearby locations in Pembroke Parish, as part of the ongoing investigation.
“The BPS is urging residents of the areas mentioned and who may have Ring or other CCTV devices, to please check whether they may have captured images of the persons fitting the descriptions, or any suspicious activity between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026, and make contact with us.

Why are they out at this hour? Coming home from work? Parents need to be held accountable.
Don’t the BPS have a list of known gang members and associates? Don’t you know the neighbourhoods they live in?
Why aren’t they patrolled?
This is Bermuda one of the smallest places worldwide to monitor. These acts continue because the knuckleheads know they can get away with it. C’mon villages get back to raising law abiding citizens.
Cops here are only good at catching speeding if that!!
That’s the only thing they make a concerted effort to do. First thing in the morning while people going to work. During the day while regular people are working while nights are controlled by the thugs.
You must be in an office all day . The thugs and thuggees are out in full force during the day as well.

Hey Mr Paw, I agree with you totally. This island is a nice place but people must act responsibly or Bermuda will become a wasteland with no one wanting to be here.
Here is a no-brainer idea, which only requires people with brains to put into action – make it illegal to wear a tinted bike visor and make it mandatory for police to pull over and check anyone riding with a tinted visor. Everyone knows the thieves and gangsters use tinted visors, and they wont travel without them. This way you can guaranteed catch the criminals. Everyone who agrees, say so, so they make it happen. If you aren’t a criminal and you use a tinted visor, get over it, quit crying about it, and give it up.
