Alneisha Outerbridge Earns PSEA Award

Alneisha Outerbridge from the Department of Employee & Organizational Development earned the Public Service Excellence Award [PSEA] for June.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Government of Bermuda is delighted to recognise Alneisha Outerbridge, Talent Partner, with the Department of Employee & Organizational Development [DEOD] as the winner of the June Public Service Excellence Award [PSEA] for her outstanding contribution to the planning and delivery of the Public Service Career Fair & Expo, held on June 18, 2026.

“Ms. Outerbridge received multiple nominations for the June 2026 PSEA, reflecting the impact of her contributions.

“The Career Fair & Expo was designed to raise public awareness of career opportunities within the Public Service while supporting ongoing succession planning initiatives. Alneisha’s dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment were instrumental in the success of the event, which brought together government departments, job seekers, students, and members of the public in an unprecedented showcase of public service careers.

“Alneisha demonstrated exceptional public service excellence throughout the project, providing consistent, high quality support despite compressed timelines and evolving demands.

“She researched the concept, developed an early proposal, and helped shape a vision that would eventually become a major public-facing initiative. And once the project moved forward, Alneisha volunteered to assist in any capacity required.

“Her proactive approach, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate challenges ensured that the event remained organized, responsive, and on track from conception to execution.

“She became a key source of administrative and coordination support, organizing departmental representatives, scheduling meetings, preparing minutes, tracking action items, and supporting four critical committees focused on logistics, communications, health and safety, and participant coordination.

“Her calm, solutions-focused approach proved invaluable throughout the planning process. Whether coordinating multiple stakeholders, resolving emerging challenges, or ensuring critical tasks were completed, Alneisha consistently stepped beyond the scope of her assigned duties to support teams across the organization.

“She also served an important role in shaping the attendee experience. Through site visits and collaboration with visual-space designers, she helped create a welcoming, professional, and accessible environment.

“Beyond her coordination efforts, Alneisha helped elevate public awareness of the event through public engagement, including radio appearances where she enthusiastically promoted the Career Fair & Expo and highlighted employment, training, and career development opportunities within the Public Service. Through these efforts, she served as an exceptional ambassador for both DEOD and the wider Public Service.”

The Premier, David Burt praised Alneisha’s contribution and dedication, saying, “Alneisha played an important role in the successful delivery of the Public Service Career Fair & Expo. Her initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities made a significant difference throughout the planning process and helped the Government deliver a high-quality experience for all who attended. This award is well deserved, and I congratulate her on this recognition.”

And the Head of the Public Service Cherie Whitter added, “Alneisha understood the value of a public-service-focused career fair long before it became a formal initiative. During her tenure at DEOD, she identified an opportunity for the Public Service to host a career-focused event.

“Her vision, initiative, professionalism, positive attitude and collaborative spirit and were critical to the success of the Public Service Career Fair & Expo. We are thankful for Alneisha’s ability to consistently go above and beyond expectations make her most deserving of this recognition. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and grateful for her service.”

The Government spokesperson said, “The Public Service Excellence Award recognises individuals or teams within the Public Service who have demonstrated exceptional service delivery and achievement within the last 60 days.”
