Bermuda Team Set For NACAC Championships
A six-member Bermuda team has arrived in Mexico for the 2026 NACAC Under-18 and Under-23 Track and Field Championships, which will be held from July 10 to 12.
The championships will take place at the Una Nueva Historia Sports Complex Stadium in Apizaco, Tlaxcala.
The Bermuda team is managed by Ruby James, with former Olympian Brian Wellman serving as coach.
The squad includes Priya Wilson, Amara Samuels, Tatiana Sousa, Zydon Lightbourne Furbert, Surii Russell and Norre Robinson.
Wilson and Samuels will compete in the Under-18 women’s 100 and 200 meters. Sousa will compete in the Under-18 women’s javelin.
Lightbourne Furbert will compete in the Under-18 men’s 200 and 400 meters, while Russell will contest the Under-18 men’s 400 and 800 meters.
Robinson is Bermuda’s only Under-23 athlete and will compete in the short sprint events.
