The Drift GastroBar at the St. George’s Club Hotel held their official opening, with a ribbon cutting – using “appropriately coloured light and dark blue ribbons” – was held earlier this week.
A spokesperson said, “On Wednesday, July 1st a soft launch and ribbon cutting were held for the new GastroBar ‘Drift’ located in the St. George’s Club Hotel.
“Acting Minister of Tourism & Transport, Culture & Sport, the Honourable Diallo Rabain, JP, MP, cut the appropriately coloured light and dark blue ribbons that officially launched the opening of the new GastroBar.
“Joining Minister Rabain in officially opening the establishment were Hotelco’s Miguel and Laura Purroy and Achilles Bay Ltd’s Stefania Di Meglio and Guido Brambilla along with other distinguished guests.”
Little Venice Group Director, Teresa Chatfield, commented, “Today is more than opening the doors of a new GastroBar, it is about bringing a vision to life … we believe St. George’s deserves an authentic and distinctive experience with great drinks, innovative cuisine and good company allowing the unique spirit of this remarkable town to come together. We strongly feel that St George’s deserves experiences that are genuine and businesses that protect the town’s heritage while contributing to its future.”
A spokesperson added, “Minister Rabain offered his congratulations on the opening of Drift and remarked that he had personally had special moments at the St. George’s Club Hotel over the years. He continued that he was pleased that the Government could continue to help give incentives that provided the necessary assistance to ensure projects like this continued.”
Miguel Purroy of HotelCo stated, “We are continuing with our revival of the East End and are proud of the tradition of this hotel and are committed to the renewal of the St. George’s Club Hotel.
