Swimmers Compete At BASA Long Course Meet
Local swimmers took part in the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association [BASA] Summer Long Course Meet.
Among the senior competitors, Elan Daley won the women’s 15 and over 100 metres freestyle in 56.92 seconds and the 50 metres butterfly in 28.45.
Thomas Cechini won the men’s 15 and over 100 metres freestyle in 52.96 and the 50 metres butterfly in 26.07, while Gabriel Maranzana recorded the fastest 50 metres freestyle time of 24.75.
Other performances included Rhys Insley winning the men’s 15 and over 50 metres breaststroke in 30.11, Charlotte Henderson claiming the girls’ 11-12 100 metres freestyle and 200 metres backstroke titles, and Ethan Smith winning the boys’ 13-14 100 metres and 200 metres freestyle events.
