Dominique Willis To Present ‘In The Space Of Us’
Bermudian choreographer and producer Dominique Willis will present the world premiere of ‘In the Space of Us,’ a full-length contemporary dance production, on Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, at 7:00 p.m. at the Earl Cameron Theatre at City Hall.
A spokesperson said, “Presented in partnership with the Bermuda Society of Arts, ‘In the Space of Us’ is the culmination of three years of artistic research and development. The production brings together professional dancers from Bermuda and abroad to explore themes of community, intimacy, grief, conflict, resilience, and survival through seven original dance works.
“Rather than telling a single story, the production unfolds as a collection of interconnected pieces examining the relationships that shape our lives. Across two acts, audiences are invited on a journey through personal narratives and imagined worlds, reflecting on how connections are formed, tested, broken, and rebuilt.”
“This work asks what exists in the spaces between us — the moments of connection, misunderstanding, vulnerability, and care that define our relationships,” said Dominique Willis. “Bringing this project home to Bermuda has been incredibly meaningful. It has allowed me to collaborate with exceptional artists from different backgrounds while creating a work that speaks to our shared humanity.”
