Traffic Changes In Somerset For Cup Match
Temporary traffic flow changes will be in effect on Clyde Best Lane, Cricket Lane and the Railway Trail in Sandys Parish from July 29 to 31 during the Cup Match holiday period.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works advises the public that temporary changes to traffic flow will be in effect on Clyde Best Lane, Cricket Lane and the Railway Trail in Sandys Parish from Wednesday, July 29, 2026 to Friday, July 31, 2026 during specified hours associated with the Cup Match holiday period. These changes will affect motorists and pedestrians travelling in the Somerset area.
“The temporary traffic arrangements are being implemented to facilitate a one-way traffic system around the Somerset Cricket Club Grounds during the Cup Match holiday. The revised traffic flow will allow vehicles and motorcycles to move more efficiently through the area during periods of high traffic demand.
“Motorists should expect directional changes and traffic management measures throughout the event period. Traffic will be managed by Security Associates on Wednesday and by the Bermuda Police Service and the Royal Bermuda Regiment on both Cup Match days. The public is encouraged to follow all posted directions, obey traffic personnel, and allow additional travel time when passing through the area.”
