City Of Hamilton Releases 2025 Annual Report
The Corporation of Hamilton released its 2025 Annual Report highlighting progress and initiatives across the City during the year.
A spokesperson said, “The Corporation of Hamilton is pleased to announce the release of its 2025 Annual Report, showcasing another year of progress, innovation, and community impact across Bermuda’s capital. The report highlights the projects, partnerships, and initiatives that shaped Hamilton throughout 2025 while reaffirming the Corporation’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and public service.
“Now in its third year of publication, the Annual Report provides residents, businesses, and stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of the City’s work over the past year, documenting achievements across infrastructure, public spaces, community engagement, events, modernization, sustainability, heritage preservation, and organizational excellence.”
Mayor Michael Branco said, “The Annual Report reflects a year of meaningful progress for Hamilton and recognizes the dedication of the Council and Corporation staff who served throughout 2025. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to openness, accountability, and delivering high-quality services to the people of Bermuda. As we continue building on this strong foundation, we remain focused on creating a capital city that is vibrant, resilient, inclusive, and prepared for the future.”
The spokesperson said, “The 2025 Annual Report outlines progress in several key areas, including:
- Continued investment in infrastructure, accessibility improvements, and public spaces.
- The expansion of smart city initiatives, including the rollout of Licence Plate Recognition parking technology and the launch of the City’s redesigned website.
- Beautification and placemaking projects, including waterfront enhancements, public art installations, and ongoing landscaping initiatives.
- Community engagement through the City’s first-ever Satisfaction Survey, which found that 93% of businesses would recommend Hamilton as a place to operate and 85% of residents would recommend it as a place to live.
- A diverse calendar of events and activations, including Taste of Bermuda, Fresh Air Films, Summer Sunday City Funday, and the City’s holiday celebrations, all designed to support local businesses and bring vibrancy to Hamilton.
- Continued investment in employee development, workplace wellbeing, and organizational excellence.
“The report also highlights a number of milestone moments from 2025, including the Corporation’s recognition by Bermuda’s Information Commissioner’s Office for leadership in proactive transparency, the completion of major King Street infrastructure improvements, including road resurfacing and sidewalk upgrades, the continued restoration of Fort Hamilton, and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque honouring former Parks Superintendent George Ogden for his lasting contribution to the City’s parks and green spaces.”
