Emergency Lane Closure On Somerset Road
An emergency lane closure will be in effect on Somerset Road between Sound View Road and Bay Lane today [August 12] from 9.30am to 6.00pm to facilitate essential roadworks.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works advises the public that an emergency lane closure will be in effect on Somerset Road between Sound View Road and Bay Lane on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. to facilitate essential roadworks.
“The lane closure is necessary to accommodate water main repairs in the area.
“Motorists should expect traffic delays and are encouraged to use caution when travelling through the work zone. Traffic will be managed by Intelligent Trenching representatives using stop-and-go signs and, at times, traffic lights. The Ministry of Public Works thanks the public for its cooperation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
