Video: Donawa Scores In North Carolina Victory
Bermudian footballer Jace Donawa scored an impressive goal as the University of North Carolina men’s soccer team defeated Liberty 5-4 at the Dorrance Field at Play2Dream Legacy Stadium in North Carolina.
Ryan Zellefrow opened the scoring for North Carolina in the 21st minute before Liberty equalised one minute later. The Tar Heels converted a penalty in the 23rd minute, with Bertil Rygaard Hansen adding another goal one minute later to make it 3-1.
Liberty reduced the deficit from the penalty spot in the 32nd minute before Jonathan Luna Sabando restored North Carolina’s two-goal advantage shortly after the interval.
Liberty scored again in the 60th minute, and Donawa made it 5-3 in the 75th minute and Liberty added their fourth goal in the 85th minute, with North Carolina holding on for the victory.
