Arnold Manders Hits 58 In One-Run Defeat
Bermudian cricketer Arnold Manders scored a half-century for the IMC Emerging XI in a one-run defeat to South Africa at the IMC Over-60s World Cup in Ontario, Canada, yesterday [August 14].
South Africa posted 159 for nine from their 45 overs after batting first, with Manders taking 0 for 20 from three overs.
Manders then led the Emerging XI’s reply with 58 from 67 balls, hitting three fours and two sixes.
He shared a 48-run seventh-wicket partnership with his brother Andre Manders, who scored 14.
The Emerging XI were eventually bowled out for 158, falling one run short of South Africa’s total.
