Harvey Finishes 17th In Pan Pacific Prelims
Bermuda swimmer Emma Harvey placed 17th overall in the women’s 100 metres butterfly preliminaries at the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Irvine, California.
Competing at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center, the 25-year-old recorded a time of 1 minute 00.13 seconds.
Harvey completed the opening 50 metres in 27.80 seconds before recording a 32.33-second split over the second half of the race.
Her time left her just outside the B final, with the official results listing her as the first reserve. Taiwan’s Pei-Yin Liu claimed the final B-final qualifying position in 1:00.08, just five-hundredths of a second ahead of Harvey.
American Gretchen Walsh recorded the fastest time in the preliminaries, setting a Pan Pacific Championships record of 55.28 seconds.
Harvey is one of three swimmers representing Bermuda at the championships alongside Jack Harvey and Madelyn Moore.
