Pink Route Ferry Service Suspended Again
The Paget/Warwick ferry service [Pink Route] is suspended from 3.45pm today [August 19] due to mechanical issues.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Marine & Ports Services would like to advise the public that the Paget/Warwick ferry service [Pink Route] will be out of service due to mechanical issues, effective from the 3:45 p.m. scheduled sailing today and until further notice.
“The Orange, Blue, and Green Routes are presently operating according to their published schedules.
“Updates regarding the resumption of Pink Route service will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.
“The Department apologizes for the disruption and any inconvenience caused to passengers travelling on the Pink Route and appreciates the public’s patience and understanding.”

Why am I not surprised?
How many boats does M&P have for the pink route? Four is it? Are all four broken down? Someone from M&P explain.
Marine and Ports could have a million ferries. If they are not maintained properly (and they are not) this will continue to happen.
Poor
Seriously? Government just got TEN new buses, but can’t get ONE new ferry? Make it make sense someone.
A properly maintained ferry will outlast any bus. Marine engines work hard. Pushing water out of the way is like a land vehicle always going uphill. No coasting downhill. No easy flat highway cruising turning low RPMs.
Boat engines need top maintenance and, when they have reached the end of life, they can be replaced. No need to get a new boat.
