Karting: Albuoy And Pedro Race In Trinidad
Bermudian junior karters Alondro Albuoy and Syah Pedro represented the island at the Nations Cup Caribbean in Trinidad and Tobago.
The pair competed as part of a four-nation field at the Frankie Boodram Wallerfield International Raceway.
Pedro finished fifth overall, while Albuoy placed ninth.
Albuoy has international racing experience, while the event marked Pedro’s first international race.
“We want to once again recognise our two TAG Junior drivers, Syah Pedro and Alondro Albouy, who represented Bermuda at the Nations Cup Caribbean,” the Bermuda Karting Association said.
“This marked Syah’s first international race, and he put in a fantastic performance, finishing fifth overall!
“Alondro, continuing to build on his international racing experience, finished ninth overall after some unfortunate mechanical issues on the first day of the two-day event.
“We’re incredibly proud to see our junior drivers taking on international competition, gaining valuable experience and flying the Bermuda flag!”
