Saundre Simmons To Fight In Australia
Bermudian boxer Saundre “Dash” Simmons is set to fight Kirra Ruston for the vacant IBF Pan Pacific Light Heavyweight title on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Simmons [9-0] will face Australian Ruston [9-0] at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on August 26.
The main event will feature Nikita Tsyyu against Ben Mahoney in a IBF super-welterweight world title eliminator.
“Just blessed with an opportunity to feed my family and continue the path I chose,” Simmons said.
Simmons was born in Massachusetts and raised in Somerset, Bermuda, but spent part of his youth in Asheville.
He trains at Bone Breaker Gym in nearby Morganton.
The 29-year-old turned professional in 2023 after an amateur career and has won all nine of his professional bouts by knockout.
