Video: Formula 1 Features Honor Brady
Bermudian engineer Honor Brady has been featured in an official Formula 1 video, with the principal circuit engineer discussing her career journey and the work required behind the scenes at Formula 1 events.
Ms Brady explained that she had long been interested in Formula 1 and, after attending the Monaco Grand Prix in May 2022, began thinking about how exciting it would be to work for the organisation.
A few months later, she saw a vacancy for a civil engineer, submitted an application and was subsequently offered the position.
Ms Brady said her role involves overseeing the technical infrastructure required for each event and acting as a link between Formula 1, the circuit promoter and the FIA to help ensure each race meets the strict standards.
She also discussed studying engineering at University College London, including spending her third year in Hong Kong, and credited her parents with helping her turn her interests into a career.
