Harvey And Moore Compete In 50m Freestyle
Bermuda’s Emma Harvey and Madelyn Moore competed in the women’s 50 metres freestyle preliminaries at the 2026 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Irvine, California.
Competing at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center, Harvey led the Bermudian effort, finishing in 25.98 seconds to place in a five-way tie for 26th overall.
Moore was also in action in the morning heats, touching the wall in 26.40 to finish 35th.
The event featured a fast international field, with American Kate Douglass setting a world record and Pan Pacific Championships record of 23.49 in the preliminaries. Gretchen Walsh, also of the United States, was second-fastest in 23.78, while Australia’s Meg Harris was third in 24.22.
