Team Hayward held a ‘Post-Emancipation Day Celebration’ on August 5th at Horseshoe Bay Beach Terrace, which they said provides an “opportunity for residents, supporters, families, and friends to come together in the spirit of unity, fellowship, and reflection as Bermuda commemorates one of the most significant periods in its history.”
Minister Jason Hayward previously said, “Our Emancipation story is one of strength, perseverance, and hope. As we celebrate the sacrifices and achievements of those who came before us, we are reminded that the work of building a fairer, stronger, and more prosperous Bermuda continues. This celebration is an opportunity for us to come together as one community, connect with one another, and recommit ourselves to shaping the future our people deserve.”
