Football: Sachiel Ming Assists In Syracuse Win

Bermuda’s Sachiel Ming recorded an assist as Syracuse men’s soccer opened its season with a 2-1 victory away to No 24 UConn at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium in the U.S.

Syracuse took the lead in the 28th minute when Jordan Grey found the net, with Ming and Nathan Scott credited with the assists.

The Orange doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute when freshman Gabriel Oksanen, assisted by Grey, fired a right-footed shot into the bottom-right corner.

Elijah Langford scored an unassisted goal for UConn in the 85th minute, but Syracuse held on to secure the road victory.

Syracuse outshot UConn 13-8, including an 8-3 advantage in shots on target. Ming led all players with three shots, one of which was on target, in addition to his assist.
