Teagan Mewett Breaks 34-Year Swim Record
Teagan Mewett broke a 34-year-old Bermuda national swimming record in the women’s 200 metres breaststroke at the 2026 Futures Championships in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Mewett finished eleventh overall after touching the wall in 2min 37.67sec, lowering the previous national record by 4.58 seconds.
The former record of 2:42.25 was set by Jennifer Smatt back in 1992.
