Aircare Recognises Apprentice Miguel Falcao
Aircare Ltd. is recognising apprentice Miguel Falcao as he begins his third year with the Company after graduating from Bermuda College with a Diploma in HVAC Technology.
A spokesperson said, “Miguel joined Aircare in July 2024 while studying Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning [HVAC] Technology at Bermuda College, combining his studies with hands-on industry experience. Since then, he has worked with both the installation and service teams, gaining broad exposure across the trade under the guidance of experienced technicians. Supervisors have praised his strong progress, willingness to learn, and commitment to building his skills.
“In May 2026, Miguel graduated from Bermuda College with a Diploma in HVAC Technology, an important milestone in his development as an apprentice.
“Miguel’s path into the industry began when a family friend, then installing new AC units at his house, offered him a job the following week. He has worked in HVAC ever since, and later enrolled in Bermuda College’s certification course to deepen his knowledge. His advice to students considering the same path is to start early, so they can earn qualifications while still young.”
On joining Aircare, he said, “My first impression was very positive. Aircare has a very professional environment and streamlined processes. I’ve worked on everything from Variable Refrigerant Volume [VRV] installations in new buildings and refits to chillers, split systems, and plumbing. I’ve been fortunate to gain experience across nearly every aspect of the Company.”
He began his apprenticeship feeling confident, and that confidence has grown as he has progressed. “Whenever things got hard, I always thought back to the goals I was chasing and kept them in sight,” he said.
A spokesperson added, “Looking ahead, Miguel hopes to gain further qualifications, complete his four-year apprenticeship, and build his knowledge of VRV systems, which he believes represent the industry’s future. He also thanked his parents for their support and credited Gervel Seymour, Senior Installation Technician at Aircare, as a mentor throughout his journey.”
Aircare General Manager Brendan Stones said, “Aircare’s apprenticeship programme plays an important role in investing in the future of our industry, giving young people practical experience alongside the technical knowledge needed for a long-term career. We are pleased to have Miguel on the team and look forward to supporting his continued growth.”
