BBBS Adds Prize Draw To Annual Tag Day
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda will hold its annual Tag Day on Friday, September 25, with a new prize draw giving donors a chance to win a range of prizes for every $10 contributed, With prizes including two round-trip airline tickets, an iPhone and more.
A spokesperson said, “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda [BBBS] will take to the streets across the island, this Friday, September 25, 2026, for its annual Tag Day but this year, the organization is adding an exciting twist.
“Members of the public can make a donation of any amount in support of BBBS and the work it does with Bermuda’s young people. However, for every $10 donated, supporters will also receive an entry into a special prize draw featuring a fantastic selection of prizes donated by community partners.
“The grand prize includes two round-trip airline tickets courtesy of BermudAir, along with lunch at Rock & Barrel before the winners board their flight.
“Other prizes include an iPhone 16e courtesy of One Communications, dinner for two at White Horse Pub & Restaurant, gift certificates from Urban Cottage, Dove & Butterfly, Phoenix Group of Companies, The English Market, Gear & Gadget, a gel manicure gift certificate from Allure, and more.”
“We wanted to put a fun twist on our traditional Tag Day while continuing to raise funds that directly support our mentoring programmes and services for Bermuda’s young people,” said Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, Managing Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda. “Every donation matters. Whether someone gives $2, $5, $10 or $50, they are helping us continue to provide positive relationships, experiences and opportunities for the children and families we serve.”
A spokesperson added, “For every $10 donated, supporters will receive one entry into the draw. A $50 donation, for example, will provide five entries. Taggers will have entry forms and pens available at Tag Day locations, and completed forms will be collected along with donations.
“Taggers will be stationed at locations throughout the island, while a number of companies and schools are also supporting BBBS through its Denim Day fundraising initiative.
“Those who are unable to donate in person can still participate by scanning the QR code on the BBBS Tag Day promotional flyer and donating online. Eligible online donations can also be entered into the prize draw.
“The Tag Day with a Twist prize draw will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026.
“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bermuda extends its sincere appreciation to all of the businesses that have donated prizes and supported this year’s initiative, as well as the volunteers who have agreed to tag throughout the island.”
