Bermuda Is Love To Host Clothing Giveaway
Bermuda Is Love will be hosting a Free Clothing Giveaway this Saturday, September 26, at Elliot Primary School from 10:00am to 2:00pm, offering free clothing for people of all ages, sizes, and genders.
A spokesperson said, “The giveaway is part of Bermuda Is Love’s #NoNewClothes campaign, which encourages the community to rethink how we consume clothing and to wear, swap, borrow, repair, reuse, and buy less.
“The event will provide free clothing for people of all ages, genders, and sizes while helping keep usable clothing in circulation and out of the waste stream.
“Bermuda Is Love believes that clothing is a basic human need and that everyone should have access to clothing with dignity. At the same time, we are challenging the culture of constant consumption promoted by the fast-fashion industry.
The community is encouraged to:
- Wear what you already own.
- Repeat your outfits.
- Swap and borrow clothing.
- Repair and reuse what you have.
- Shop second-hand.
- Buy less and make your clothes last longer.
