Dominic Wright Makes World Junior Debut
Bermudian swimmer Dominic Wright made his debut at the World Aquatics Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Santa Fe, Argentina, competing in the boys’ 14–15 age group 5km race.
The event included the world’s top age-group open water swimmers, with more than 250 athletes from over 50 countries competing.
The 15-year-old raced on Friday and was one of five swimmers listed as outside the time limit in the official results.
Russia’s Alan Nosov won the title in 55 minutes and 59.40 seconds. American Sawyer Hansen finished second in 56:36.90, followed by Türkiye’s Ibrahim Burhan in 56:38.50.
Wright previously won the Male 14-15 10km category at the PanAm Aquatics Open Water Swimming Series in the Cayman Islands earlier this year.
